Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Lineara collects, uses, and looks after the personal information you share with us.

Last updated: June 2025

1. Who We Are

Lineara is an estate document organisation and legacy preservation service based in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand. We help families and organisations sort, label, and record personal and family-history documents. Our services are educational and organisational in nature; we do not offer legal advice, regulated financial advice, or any form of representation.

Our contact details: 19 Mittraphap Road, Nai Muang, Nakhon Ratchasima 30000, Thailand. Phone: +66 44 276 318. Email: [email protected].

2. What We Collect

We only collect information that is reasonably necessary to provide our services or respond to your enquiries. This may include:

  • Contact details — name, email address, and telephone number when you complete our contact form or reach us by phone.
  • Service information — details you share with us about your family records, document types, or organisational requirements so that we can tailor our sessions appropriately.
  • Correspondence — emails, notes, or messages exchanged with our team.
  • Technical data — IP address, browser type, and pages visited, collected automatically when you use our website. This is used for website performance and security purposes only.

We do not collect sensitive personal data such as financial account details, health records, or government identification numbers unless you deliberately share them in the course of a session, in which case they are treated with the strictest care and are not retained beyond the session.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we hold about you for the following purposes:

  • To respond to enquiries and schedule sessions.
  • To deliver the document organisation or heritage workshop service you have booked.
  • To send session notes, index templates, or keepsake materials relevant to your booking.
  • To improve the quality and accessibility of our services over time.
  • To comply with any applicable Thai laws or regulatory requirements.

We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling. We do not sell your information to third parties. We do not send marketing communications unless you have explicitly asked us to.

Under the Thailand Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (PDPA) and applicable principles, we process your personal data on the following grounds:

  • Contract performance — where processing is necessary to carry out the service you have requested.
  • Legitimate interests — for website security, improving our services, and communicating with you about your enquiry, provided these do not override your own rights and expectations.
  • Legal compliance — where we are required by Thai law to retain or disclose certain records.
  • Consent — where you have given clear consent for a specific purpose, such as receiving updates about our services.

5. Sharing Your Data

We do not share your personal information with external organisations for their own commercial purposes. We may share limited information with trusted service providers who help us operate our business — for example, our website hosting provider or email platform — under strict confidentiality agreements and only to the extent needed to perform those services.

If we are required by a Thai court order or government authority to disclose information, we will comply with that obligation and, where legally permitted, notify you.

6. How Long We Keep Your Information

We retain contact and enquiry data for up to two years from the date of last contact, unless a booking was made, in which case we may retain relevant session records for up to five years for our own operational reference.

Technical data such as server logs is typically retained for no more than twelve months.

When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it securely.

7. Your Rights

Under the Thailand PDPA, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of any inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Request deletion of your data where there is no longer a lawful basis to retain it.
  • Withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing.
  • Object to processing based on our legitimate interests.
  • Request that we restrict processing while a concern is being resolved.
  • Lodge a complaint with the relevant Thai data protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at [email protected] or by phone. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe and no later than thirty days.

8. Cookies

Our website uses small text files called cookies to support basic functionality, remember your cookie preferences, and understand how visitors use our pages. We do not use cookies to track you across other websites or to serve advertising.

You can adjust your cookie preferences at any time. Please see our Cookie Policy for full details on the cookies we use and how to manage them.

9. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. These include secure communication channels, access controls, and regular review of our data handling practices.

No method of transmission over the internet is entirely without risk, and we cannot make absolute assurances. If you have concerns about the security of information you have shared with us, please contact us directly.
